Detection and annotation of transposable elements in eukaryote genome

The objectives of this training are:
1. To acquire knowledge on transposable elements
2. To achieve annotation of transposable elements in the genome using REPET pipelines
3. To be autonomous on your own data.

Location: URGI, INRA Versailles

Part 1: REPET-Lite

  • Opening presentation on transposable elements
  • The REPET pipelines and strategies of repeat annotation
  • Galaxy overview and practices
  • Launch REPET-Lite on Galaxy

Part 2: Manual curation of transposable elements

  • Strategies for manual curation
  • Launch curation tools on Galaxy
  • Data visualization and analyses

This training is free and dedicated to biologists and/or bioinformaticians (10 pers. max)
